Here are a couple of pics sent to me from Sonia, a Weymouth bride-to-be. I had the pleasure of doing make-up at Sonia’s wedding for Sonia and her mum down in Weymouth back in the summer. Sonia kindly emailed me these lovely photos along with a kind email:

I just wanted to write a quick email to say thank you for everything – from the initial email, to the trial, to the day you made the whole process so stress-free.
The makeup you used was fab – giving my Mum that extra special feeling…and me a look which knew I could face a whole day with everyone looking at me!
Many thanks once again. Sonia
I wish Sonia and her new husband the very best for the future!

I was asked by a bride-to-be called Louise earlier this year if I could do her wedding make-up and also her mum’s and sister too. Louise and her family were a little dubious about the make-up being done as they had already had one disasterous trial elsewhere. I am pleased to say they all loved the make-up I did and I was booked to do Louise’s make-up in Bridport in July. Louise was confident her wedding day would be hot and sunny and she was spot on! It was a beautiful day for a beautiful bride. Thanks to Louise, Sian and Kirsty for making it such an enjoyable morning, its days like this that make my job so enjoyable and worthwhile.
Here is the email sent from Louise followed by some photos taken on the day:
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and i just want to say a massive thankyou for doing our makeup for the day. It stayed put just as you had promised. There will be a little thankyou note on its way to you in the post. Louise

I am always getting asked questions about products I would recommend and what I use myself. Well I see all different types of skin but so often I hear from ladies that they don’t do much in the way of cleansing their skin, (but they do moisturise!) Well moisturising on its own is not enough. Yes, you should protect the skin on a daily basis by using a moisturiser (preferably with added SPF to protect against harmfull rays) but good skin starts with good cleansing. Added to that, at this time of year many of us resort back to putting the central heating on. This can play havoc with the skin causing it to dry out and feel dehydrated.
I have found a fantastic cleanser made by Liz Earle called Cleanse and Polish and I have already converted some of my brides-to-be with it! It cleanses the skin naturally and gently using a muslin cloth which wipes away all traces of make-up. The muslin cloth gently exfoliates dead skin helping to remove any build up (often caused by the change in weather and central heating) leaving the skin fresh and radiant and really clean!
So many cleansers leave the skin feeling tight or not as clean as one would like but this one really is different! There is no residue left on the skin, no messy cotton wool to have to dispose of and best of all fabulous skin is revealed.
What I also love about this product and all the Liz Earle products is all the natural ingredients that go in to them and the fact that they are not tested on animals.
So if your looking for a great cleanser to kick start your autumn and winter skincare routine then this is for you!
I would love to hear any other comments on this too!

I was contacted by the girls at Heart FM Bournemouth to help offer one lucky listener a life changing day…a day in the life of a Sanbanks Millionaire. So I went along to the Hotel Vun in Poole and did a makeover for the lucky winning lady Sarah. Here is a picture of Sarah taken after the make-up was finished. I hope Sarah and her hubby enjoyed the rest of their special day!
