Make-Up Lessons!

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

Are you interested in learning more about make-up? Maybe you are stuck in a make-up rut? I can help! Simply book a make-up lesson with me and i will talk you through exactly what products i think will work for you. I will also analyse your skin and recommend skin products and talk through a variety of products that are available to you. I can also go through your own make-up bag with you and help advise you of your current make-up look. After your lesson i will give you a list of recommended products so that you can go and purchase them if you so wish. This is a great idea as a gift for someone, or as a gift to yourself! For more info please contact me. Here are some photos from make-up lessons that have taken place:

Wedding Make Up Trials…Before and After Photos taken!

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

As a make-up artist i think its really important that a bride-to-be can see how their make-up will look on their wedding day photos. For this reason i have always taken before and after photos for my clients so that you can be assured that you will have a natural makeover and that you will still look like you, (just at your very best).  Also i like to show the bride-to-be that you won’t suffer from things like the flash on camera making your face look white because of the products i use! Here is an example of a recent bridal make-up trial i did. I wasn’t actually available on the date of Hilary’s wedding but i gave her a make-up lesson so that she was able to do her own make-up.

Wedding Dress Shopping!

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

Am so excited! Have now ordered my own wedding dress for my wedding next year! After trying on around 20 dresses i knew when i tried my chosen dress on that it was the one for me! I can’t wait to try it on again and of course to wear it at my own wedding next year. The shop where i have chosen my dress from is All Aspects in Iford, Christchurch. Gill, the owner of All Aspects is a lovely helpful lady, nothing is too much trouble for her and she offers a down to earth service that is relaxed and helpful. I visited a few other shops before visiting Gill as my mum and i covered one area at a time. I have to say the shops i found the most helpful, ( including All Aspects) were Special Occasions in Parkstone where Lesley is very friendly and also Daisy Bridal in Boscombe.

For details of All Aspects please visit:

Oh and if you’re looking for your own wedding dress, good luck! Enjoy the experience and don’t settle for one until you have found you absolutley love and are completley comfortable in. Happy looking :o)

Wedding Photographers!

Monday, May 11th, 2009

After you have booked your hair and make-up, one thing a bride should never under budget for is a great wedding photographer. Don’t ever leave it to chance because a great wedding photographer is worth their weight in gold. The photos you get from the day will last you forever, whether placed on your mantelpiece or in a special book and second best just won’t do! I have worked alongside many great photographers as a make-up artist. Those that stand out above the rest really truely, enjoy their job and have the ability to make everyone relax and enjoy themselves, come rain or shine! Many will also take candid style photos of family and friends when they don’t even realise it, which makes for some beautiful natural photos. Some friendly, happy, Bournemouth wedding photographers i can highly recommend (after having seen them in action!) are
